Trig Point Database

A few weeks ago I created an Excel spreadsheet of all the UK trig points, in order to allow fellow trig point enthusiasts the ability to search for these iconic concrete pillars using various criteria. The spreadsheet was really just a stop-gap measure until I managed to create something more usable on the website. I have now completed this task and the results can be seen here: Lonewalker’s Trig Point Database

tp db search

You can select trig points by National Park, Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty or OS Landranger sheet number. You can then select the types of trig point to include in your search and the condition of those trig points. The results appear in a table on a new page, from where you can download the results into a CSV file, to form the basis of a custom tick list perhaps.

The Excel spreadsheet is still available, from the original location, but perhaps this access method is more user friendly? Have fun with it.
